Education

In addition to attending the Ministry Academy Bible classes, students will be enrolled in the Distance Learning programme from Mattersey Hall Bible College. This will enable interns to study for an External Certificate in Biblical Studies, which is a college-level qualification, broadly equivalent in curriculum and required workload to the first year of a residential degree at Bible College. There will be three modules studied as part of the internship programme – Old Testament survey, New Testament survey and Basic Doctrine. This will all be tied into the Ministry Academy teaching, but students will be given study guides and essay assignments. A personal tutor is assigned to each student by the college to assist them with any questions they might have, help them through the programme and offer constructive feedback on their coursework as well as marking their work. After the internship, students will have the option of transferring Bible College credits gained into a degree programme.

(If you would love to become an intern and take part in the Ministry Academy but feel that academically the prospect of having to write essays which will be marked at college level too daunting then that is fine. You can opt out of the distance learning side of the course and still receive all the teaching and ministry from the Ministry Academy. You can talk this through with the Team Director when you apply.)
