Service

All interns will be based at Bethel Church in Barnsley for the 10 months of the programme. As well as attending all events and meetings, interns will actively be involved in the life of the church and will be committed to serving the vision of the church and its leaders.

Ministry Experience

All interns will be involved in public ministry including planning meetings, events and outreaches. Public ministry will vary depending on the individuals gifting but could involve preaching, sharing testimonies, worship / music ministry, children’s work, social action etc. All interns will be involved in schools ministry (assemblies, RE lessons, lunch time clubs) and youth work (running youth meetings, evangelism, trips, weekend retreats etc)
There will be the opportunity for interns to travel with the pastors of the church in any itinerant ministry.

Prayer

One of our core values as a church is prayer and intercession. The people who become part of the internship will experience opportunities for intense intercession for revival and harvest in the local church, community and our nation.

Holy Spirit Encounter

As a church we highly value the presence of God and the moving of the Holy Spirit in our meetings and our lives. Interns should expect regular times of impartation, moves of the Holy Spirit and spending time in the presence of God.

Personal Discipleship

The objective of the internship programme is to help discover each individual’s personal calling and gifting and help release them into future ministry and service. Each intern will have one on one time with the pastors of the church where they will be both encouraged and challenged. The programme passionately embraces the values of a Christ-like lifestyle, ministry from a place of servant hood and the importance of the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
